Today we had the duck and the whole. Super tasty and juicy. Great side dishes. And not too expensive.

We went to eat 2 evenings in a row. You can't really describe how good the food tastes here. You arrive, get a little greeting from the kitchen and then the culinary journey begins. All senses are pampered here. Even when you're already full, just enjoy the dessert platter. We are still very grateful to have been pampered. For us, the Löwenstein restaurant is one of the best places we have ever eaten in. Thanks for that.

A disappointment. Atmospheric place with too salty and tasteless food. More of a canteen / dining room than a restaurant. The prices suggest a different quality. The service is in casual clothes. Portions are very large, but without the taste of fresh herbs.

We were there for dinner tonight and sat on the terrace. The drinks were great, the rose tasted very good. It was very busy and we had to wait. Still, the food came after a good time. It was sooooo delicious, a big greeting to the cook. The roulade like mother's, the grill plate great, even the turkey steak cooked to the point. The only disadvantage: On the weekend, when it is full, you should not only have 1 waitress who takes the order, collects it and also serves it. Otherwise all very friendly, nice atmosphere and very delicious food. We will be back.

Very nice reception, although we had not made reservations. There was a relaxed and friendly atmosphere throughout the evening. We were served carefully. Very nice rooms with a wonderful view. Great food: interesting and tasty combinations. The vegetarian dish was also well composed. I can only recommend!

Definitely an enrichment for Gerolstein! Really great.

The food is excellent! There was nothing that didn't taste delicious and was lovingly done. The rooms are bright, spacious and from the terrace you have a very nice view of the great landscape. Staff (including boss) are very nice and courteous. A real asset to the region!

Phew. What an evening. Seldom am I so unsure about the star rating as this evening. The simple booking via Facebook would certainly have earned 5 stars. It was a pleasant and nice contact. The location to the restaurant is not rated in my opinion. This is about 2 km away from the center of Gerolstein. So either 20 min. run or drive. The evening itself was very mixed. The service was friendly most of the evening. At least in the beginning. The restaurant is a large room, which is very noisy when visited. Tap water is available for the drinks on request, which is definitely very positive. The aperitif is automatically served in 0.2l glasses. A request for size would have been appropriate here. All in all, the dishes were okay, but not outstanding either. Especially with the price level that this restaurant calls, I expect much more. The foamed asparagus soup was okay. The asparagus pieces in the soup were cut very large. The ham contained was also guided past the knife rather than cut. In addition, the croutons were more matched than crispy. For the main courses, the scampis were really okay for 22.90. Here you get a nice portion of garlic bread, which was also great in taste. We were very disappointed with the wild boar medallions for 26.90. The meat was fried dead, the red cabbage was pulled strongly over the cooking point and at 26.90 I imagine at least homemade croquettes. Here, however, we were offered to exchange the food. Unfortunately there is no EC or credit card payment. At no point is the guest informed of this fact. Neither on the website, nor at the entrance, and certainly not on the menu. Indeed, we no longer had enough cash with us, which prompted the service staff to recommend that we split up now. One person has to stay there and one person should please drive to the ATM. Not a viable option for me, especially given the location outside. It was only after intensive discussion with the management of the restaurant that we were able to transfer the amount. Finally I will give 2 stars for this evening. The website and menu suggest both service and food at a different level. Everything is edible, you get your drinks. But if you want to play in the league with main tiers over € 20, you should also serve the appropriate service and food. However, this promise to the customer is not fulfilled in any way.

Bright, friendly guest room with a great view over Gerolstein into the beautiful Eifel landscape. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Varied menu, including regional specialties. Great cuisine, our three dishes were delicious and skillfully prepared - highly recommended. We would love to come back.
